What are your thoughts on Steel vs this years (2017) forwards draft-class....ranking, short-term and long-term upside, etc.? Points only keeper. Is he in the top 10, top 5, top 3?

I'd probably have him around 8-10th overall. He looks good but he also looks a lot like Vilardi/Tippett etc from this years draft, only he has a year on the kids from this draft.

Looks like there was that earlier thread about this same exact question but apparently I hadn't answered there, so I'll just reply here. I think Steel is in the same group as Glass, Pettersson, Mittelstadt, Vilardi, Tippett and Suzuki (I may even forget someone now), so depending on personal preference he could be as high as 3rd overall or maybe even somewhere in the #10 range.
He could be Anaheim's #1C when Getzlaf starts slowing down in a few years, so his situation isn't terrible either. He can start on the 3rd line and get easier match-ups and situations when Getzlaf and Kesler handle all the tough assignments, and then start moving up when those two start slowing down.
