why you even asking this question?
Kucherov + Stamkos =160 points
Kane + Mcavoy =120 points
Points-only full keeper with no position requirements for forwards.
Point total count the top 12 forwards and top 6 D on your team.
I might be getting an offer of his Kucherov + Stamkos for my P. Kane + McAvoy.
Both teams are rebuilding. The other GM is hounding me for McAvoy and is a big Kane fan.
He needs a d-man desperately. My D is decent, but I had drafted McAvoy this year in preparation for my againg defence core. (Letang, OEL, Giordano, Streit, Gostisbehere, Leddy, Muzzin & Pulock)
If I get this offer, should I accept? I'm leaning towards yes, but I was really looking forward to having McAvoy on my team as a franchise D.
Thoughts...?

Take this deal and run. I would take kucherov for kane straight up in a keeper if I was rebuilding. Stamkos >>>>>>>>>>>> mcavoy. Pray that he makes this offer.

That deal is superb for you. He's probably thinking - wrongly - that McAvoy will render Krug obsolete while Krug is injured, which is not gonna happen. Take this deal, immediately.

I think he’s playing a joke on you... or you’re playing a joke on us... One of you must know this is a terribly lopsided offer.
Stamkos / Kucherov / Kane and.... McAvoy
Position aside one of these things is not like the other.. Ie not an elite superstar in the NHL. D or not you take any two of the three superstars by a mile over any one of them and McAvoy. It's not close and it won't be close anytime soon, if ever. Take the deal and run really, really, fast.

No. I'm sorry but you're just wrong.
To make a fair comparison, you have to take into account the 3rd player that would fill in the missing position. So it would actually be something like:
Kucherov (F) + Stamkos (F) + late D (say 35 points) =195 points = 2F, 1D
Kane (F) + Mcavoy (D) + late F (say 55 points) = 175 points = 2F, 1D
Like I said, I agree that the Kucherov side wins, but it's closer than you implied it was, and your reasoning is wrong.
If he offers you McDavid for a scrub, take that deal too.
Well if you want to get real technical you have to include the folks that McAvoy and Stamkos are replacing, and I am willing to bet that the gap between Stamkos and OP's worst Forward is bigger than the gap between McAvoy and OP's trade partners worst D. Not to try and get in an argument but I think its a pretty clear steal of a deal. Especially in a keeper as the superstars coming OP's way are 5 and 2 years younger than the superstar he is trading

This will be total BS when he comes back and says "oh he backed out and ended up not sending it. He asked if I would add Carey price too."
I hope he sends it but that response is far more likely
