Which position is the deepest and shallowest this year?
Hi guys, Im starting a new keeper league (12 team multi cat, H2h) and I was planning my draft strategy with the intent of picking the best player avaible but to start in order with the shallowest position. not counting goalies because we only draft 24 total so everyone should get a decent-ish G in is team.
we draft a total of 36 at each position (LW/RW/C) and 48 D
So how would you rank them shallowest to deepest?

Shallowest this year is RW in my opinion although it has more top-end talent than LW. But once you get to the later rounds, it gets pretty shallow. If you only draft 36 at each position though, LW is probably where you want to start. Deepest is most definitely C

And what if we add the Ds in the ranking? I know that the elite tier is very thin and the drop after that is big, how fast do I reach for a D vs let say a LW?

RW is hardest to get these days, used to be LW, after November (at least in fantrax leagues) many guys will get RW back and it will be bit easier

Center: High number of elite talent, tons of talent all the way throughOriginally Posted by Justinsane87
Left Wing: Very thin elite group, lots of depth afterwards
Right Wing: Higher number of elite guys than left, but falls off and becomes much more thin
Defense: Very thin elite talent, lots of solid guys afterwards (more than RW), than completely falls off with low end guys (you dont want to have multiple of these low end guys)
