I second the opinions of VincentVega....although I might be tempted to choose someone other than Scheifele since its easier to makeup points at Centre and Patches and Forsberg are great options on the LW.

That's the dilemma that I am in. Grabbing a top LW like Pacioretty first and then getting a center like Kopitar / Kuznetsov later in the draft vs. grabbing Scheifele first and then grabbing a winger like Arvidsson / Drouin later.

Do you prefer Giroux over any of the other guys in the first Group?

I don't see Giroux outpointing Scheifele, but he could be in the same 60-73ish range as the likes of Forsberg patches and maybe draisaitl. I think that personally I would try to get the positional need and draft the left wing, but I know that's more a strategy of mine rather than the best strategy, hard to pass on Scheifele, he is a beast

i would like to know more of how the league is set up and who you have , otherwise is hard to pick F against G or D but just based on talent with your stats..

    Leon
    Schenn
Trocheck (weber if you need D)
Tablot (Risto if you got another good goalie)

    12 team, (2 Center, 2 Left, 2 Right, 3D, 2 G, 3 bench). Weekly Head-to-head, unlimited add / drops

For Leon, are you not worried that he has the same fate as Kuznetsov last year if he is split from McDavid (since he doesn't get many peripherals it would hurt more than a points drop from some of the other guys)?

i look at talent more then who they play with...Kadri played checking role and got 60+ points last year...he will still play in same PP unit with Mcdavid most likely and again talent means more...

Note that Risto is a great option in group D, but hard to turn down Talbot in net

Thanks for the reply! I see in your fantasy guide that you have Scheifele higher than Leon in points, hits, PIM, and tied for SOG. Is the C, RW eligibility the deciding factor for you in this?

yes and I think Draisaitl edges Scheifele long term as well. Been doing some editing this past hour ....

    2017/18 Season

    Forwards GP G A PTS
    Mark Scheifele (WPG) 79 25 50 75
    Johnny Gaudreau (CGY) 82 26 48 74
    Steven Stamkos (TBL) 76 42 32 74
    John Tavares (NYI) 79 34 40 74
    Leon Draisaitl (EDM) 82 26 47 73

That's interesting, I haven't had the chance to watch of ton of either of them but I assumed that Scheifele was projected to be a better long term option as Dobber has him higher on the points only list. I always saw Schefele as more of a Backstrom whereas Leon doesn't really remind me of anyone in particular.
