    Default Forsberg v Malkin

Deal is Forsberg + a 4th round pick for Malkin. Which side do you like this season and going forward?

    14 team, keep 6, H2H
    3C, 3LW, 3RW, 4D, 2G, 5BN
    G, A, P, PPP, +/-, PIM, FOW, HIT, BLK, W, GAA, SV%, SO

Current keepers: Tarasenko, Forsberg, OEL, Klingberg, Hamilton, Lundqvist

One note - Forsberg is currently only C eligible (ESPN) although he doesn't take faceoffs, but I expect that to change, as winger eligibility was added early last season. Let me know if you suspect otherwise... Thanks!

In H2H... tough one... I like Forsbeg a lot, especially in a rigid 3/3/3 setting.
H2H includes playoffs... and Malkin tends to rest and not play in the last games of PIT NHL season.
So - while Malkin is absolutely great WHEN he plays (top 5 NHL player in points-per-game, fantasy) there is this very real "What will he give me in H2H playoffs?" question.

If the guy is offering a 4th... I say you ask for a 2nd.
And that might be the price-point where I say you take it.

I'm really big on Forsberg going forward, as he, RyJo, Arvidsson are leagues better than the next Nashville forwards, so they should all get a boatload of icetime and PP1 time.
I think all three of those guys could go 70+ this year.

Malkin, and his late season issues, are especially brutal in H2Hs, but even still I think it's a pill you have to swallow.

Malkin is the better asset but if you want to dump him for H2H purposes get more out of the deal. Give your team the boost it needs.

This. There are perfectly valid reasons for moving Malkin, particularly in a H2H league, but I think you should be able to squeeze more out of a deal than Forsberg and a 4th, if not then stand pat with Malkin

Thanks all for the responses. To clarify - I was the one who had Forsberg, and I had the opportunity to trade Forsberg and my 4th round pick to acquire Malkin.... and I took it. Thanks all!
