Vrana for Theodore

I'm being offered Theodore for my Vrana, who has been seeing time with Ovi and Kuz. I have an urgent need to find a d-man (start 4, current assets are Karlsson, Pietrangelo, Stetcher, Montour, Matheson, Larsson).

Is Theodore still a good gamble to put 30+ points this year, especially between now and when Karlsson comes back?

EDIT: Guh, I pulled the trigger. Still would like to hear your opinion.

That's a good trade for you. There is a lot more certainty about Theodore's role, both immediately and in the future, than there is about Vrana's. The now-Vrana owner may have just hit a home run and landed a guy who is going to play with Kuz and Ovi all year, or he might have just bought a guy who is going to spend the majority of the year in the bottom 6 and the AHL. You know that you're getting a PP1 Dman. Well done.

I just don't see a huge upside in Vrana, more of a support scorer IMO

I definitely like Theodore here. Should get a chance to shine in Vegas this year. The hype on Vrana right now is overblown, he could easily fall off that top line before by the the time the games start meaning something.

I think it's a fair deal. As long as you don't have a +/- cat.

I think Kuzzi has proven he can play without Ovi, and will man the 2nd line Center most of the season with Vrana and Bura. Vrana Guesstimate 40ish points.
Theodore should be able get the same 35-40 so it's pretty fair deal.

Vrana has "HYPE"? lol most know preseason means nothing it's still team reviewing final spots and possible fillers later.
I doubt they will break up the Ovi, Backstrom, Oshie line when season starts. Vrana, Kuzzi, Bura 2nd line
