Default Looking for the BPAfrom this list

Hey guys, I'm up in my Free Agent draft (team in sig.) and I'm debating on what's left to pick from. Basically, I'd want to BPA as my team is pretty balanced and I'm a top-tier team so in a win-now window.

I'd love to have the opinions of the community on who they feel is the best player available from the list below combining current output with 2 year potential as a criteria:

    M. Smith (G)
    J. Markstrom (G)
    P. Mrazek (G)
    D. Larkin (C/W)
    J. Neal (W)
    G. Nyquist (W)
    M. Koivu (C)
    S. Vatanen (D)

Thanks in advance; will REP when I can!

I’d go with Larkin or Nyquist

I think those guys have the most potential + opportunity and right age.

I like Smith - even if you don't end up needing him, someone will. After that I'd gamble on Larkin - I think he's a big time bounce back this season. Nyqvist underwhelms.

Smith & Larkin are the two that catch my eye.

Calgary might have the best defense in the NHL... and that should help any goalie there.
Larkin had a brutal sophmore slump - but so did Ghost.
Detroit does want Larkin to be a future center - and if he does it this year, you'd be raking FOW from a W position... which has good value in itself in FOW leagues where Larkin can be set in a wing spot.

I think the Wings have soured on Mrazek's attitude.
But he's still talented enough to be traded to a team that has a goalie go down.
For example, I could see LA trading for Mrazek if Quick went down.

If you start 2 goalies in a 16 team league (ie there aren't enough starters to go around) where 35% of your scoring comes from goaltending, the answer here is:

    Smith
    Markstrom
    Mrazek

    Everyone else.

The chasm is even larger if it's an H2H.

I go with Smith here. He's going to a better team with one of the top D corps in the league. After that, I like Larkin or Nyqvist for bouncebacks.
    Without me, it's only "aweso".

Looking at your goalies, I'd also seriously consider Mike Smith here.

This right here fits my perspective as well with respect to Smith and then Larkin.
Nyqvist continues to underwhelm and as such, would put Vatanen 3rd... or ahead of Larkin should you need D over the winger. I actually think Vatanen is more valuable at his position than Larkin is on the wing.

Thanks guys! I went with the general opinion which was Smith here. Unfortunately, Larkin and Mrazek went next but we will see what's left 3 picks down the line when I select again between:

    Neal
    Vatanen
    Nyquist
    Koivu
    Markstrom
