    Default Smart tender move?(will rep)

10 team league keep 12 with no more than 2 goalies. I currently have Allen and Bishop.
My question is do u think it would be smart to mive Bishop for another keeper skater? Only 3/10 categories go to goalies so i would think that its better to get as many high point scorers i can.

I would keep him. You already have a lot of skill up front. I doubt you are able to truly replace him in net and then you are stuck relying on Allen as your best goalie.

Keep him. You won't get a enough of a return to justify the move.

It completely depends on the return. I wouldn't be opposed to shopping him and seeing what's out there. But I also wouldn't be in a hurry to move him if I couldn't get a fair return.

If the return is good enough, I'd make the trade.
In a 10-team league, the rules would allow for no more than 20g to be kept.
The other 9-teams protect 18... and you have Allen.

I'm pretty comfortable with the top 26 goalies this year... which, in your league, possibly means that
    20. M.Smith, 21. Mason, 22. Halak, 23. Elliott, 24. Darling, 25. Lehner, 26. Raanta... are available... and likely the FLA duo (Lu/Reimer).
[That's my order, though I feel these guys, 20-26 are all possibly interchangeable.]
That's pretty solid talent, IMO, available in your draft.
I'm especially big on Mason and Elliott this year... as I just gush over the potential on both WPG (especially) and PHI (maybe not this year, but next...)

In H2H-weekly, a single goalie game gone wrong can bury your GAA/SV% week, even Carey Price gives up 6gaa some games. So don't over-invest in a category so volatile!!!
So, IMO, you win playoffs in H2H by taking the "depenedable" categories - which is offense... so load up your skaters and invest in goalies late.
Besides, somebody ALWAYS gets injured among goalies or emerges, last year it was Petr Budaj, then Vasilevskiy (when Bishop was traded).
Hawk these guys off the waiver when opportunity rises... and couple them with a boss skater squad.
That's how you win H2H, win half-cats in your match-up, move on to next round.

    Wheeler(his owner is most interested?

If i add carter or Giroux then i could move them to my C keeper and put Panarin at LW keeper

Wheeler is a criminally underrated fantasy player.
IIRC, he was like top 20 (maybe #17) in consecutive years of Yahoo fantasy base-6 cat (G,A,PPP,+/-,SOG,PIM) ranking.
I think he even slots a bit higher with HIT included.

I'd trade Bishop for Wheeler, yes.
There IS a big difference between 10-team leagues and 12-team leagues.
    I've played in both.

Goalies are plentiful in 10-teamers... not so much in 12-teamer... and they are brutally scarce in 14-team, start 2G leagues.
Not everybody has experience in both - but I am honestly WAY more comfortable late-drafting / waiver-plucking goalies in 10-team leagues.
It won't be an issue for you.

Are there positional requirements for keepers?
In my opinion I think Wheeler is the best return. Your team is very strong and Wheeler gives you the best chance to win it now.
I would do this deal and know that I need to grab a goalie early in the draft.

That could be a great new thread discussion if you want to start one up, I'd join it there.

I wouldn't do it or either of Nylander or Giroux, I think they are better than maybe Arvidsson and that is it in terms of your current keepers. I don't think that the jump from Arvidsson to either of those guys is big enough to warrant the drop in production you will see from Bishop to whoever you pickup.
