Stamkos Trades?

For the team in my signature, I can only keep 2 goalies, so I'm looking to get value out of trading one of them. I'm targeting a team with no starting goalies (unless you consider Varlmaov a starter ), but coming off a 3 peat, GM's are looking for me to offer sweeter deals in order to consider doing business. Are any of the following over-payments I shouldn't offer?

1. My Bishop & Kopitar for Stamkos and a 2018 3rd Round
2. My Talbot & Kopitar for Stamkos and a 2018 1st Round
3. My Bishop, Kopitar & Josi for Stamkos, Carlson and a 2018 1st Round

I'd keep Bishop and Talbot. Stamkos would be nice, but not at the cost of one of them. Try trading Vas, or I guess just be prepared to lose him.

Bishop + Kopi for stamkos is too much, i woudl do that with Vasil, but then again if Vasil finally arrives you may regret it

Great advice from RIzzeeDizzee on holding Talbot/Bishop and trading Vasi. If you can get stamkos for that deal I would definitely do it, especially in a goal heavy league.

Sure he might regret it, but my understanding is he can only keep two goalies and this way he keeps Bishop and Talbot and essentially gets Stamkos for Kopitar plus a guy he'd have to drop anyway.

Thanks for the advice. I guess where I'm struggling is that on many goalie rankings (including Dobbers), Vasil and Bishop are in the same or sequential tiers. If they are that close in ranking, wouldn't it be better to keep with the younger guy in Vasil? Or said another way, what's the reason that Bishop + Kopitar is an overpayment but Vasil + Kopitar is a good deal to make?

I'd agree with trading bishop over vas. I can see the flip side that vas is still unproven and bishop is on a stacked dallas team but those rankings may not take into account long term if u keep vas for the next 5 years.

Definitely scratch no 2 and don't trade Talbot. I'd be fine with letting bishop or vas go and would probably trade the one that got you the better plus along with Stamkos.

The difference between Bishop and Vas is how the community individually ranks their goalies. So you need to be the one who decides how you value either or in this situation and it can depend on your stats or your plan for the upcoming season.

For this year I like Bishop over Vas and I think Vas + Kopitar for Stammer and a high pick is a good deal for you.

Honestly, I have no problem moving Kopitar. For me, it’s really about which goalie to offer along with him. Personally, I have a strong preference for holding onto Vasil. He and Bishop both have question marks and also the potential to be home runs, but Vasil is MUCH younger on a team that projects to be good for quite some time. So I see him being much more valuable to my team compared to Bishop. But much of the initial feedback in this thread was that including Bishop in the deal was too big of an overpayment, but including Vasil in the deal was a solid trade to make. I’ve been trying to figure out what I’m missing for people to feel that Bishop is clearly the better option for me to hold onto, and that there’s a big enough gap between him and Vasil that I shouldn’t consider moving him, but absolutely should consider moving Vasil in this deal.

I would make this deal. Bishop always seems to get hurt anyway with what I think would be a 52/30 time share with 4mil/yr Letty?!

Vasi is the starter for awhile in a solid TB team for years to come.
Talbot (all you have to say is McJesus) will make Oilers playoff team everyyear.
Stamkos will finally be 100% again and back to his 40goal status.

Vasi & Talbot will be fine. Make the deal get Stammer in a goal heavy league. you wouldn't regret it.
