Seems you overpaid for Allen, although you didn't give other goalies as a reference. And some of your 20s pays seem perhaps suspect in view of what the tops guys went for. I see you as a bottom half team most likely. Sorry - hope I'm wrong.
So this was what I ended up with after my auction draft. There are 13 of us, rosters are 12F / 6D / 3G (9 bench).
Categories are G, A, Pts, +/-, PIM, Shots, Wins, GAA.
Any thoughts? Where I'm lacking?
(Ps McDavid went for 44 and Crosby 35. Burns 32 and Karlsson for 21 for reference)
----------------------
Tavares 28
Benn 27
Huberdeau 13
Nylander 1 (keeper)
Palmieri 6
Duchene 5
Toffoli 5
Sam Reinhart 3
Burakovsky 3
Keller 2
Brayden Point 1
Victor Rask 1
Byfuglien 25
OEL 10
Yandle 10
Werenski 3 (keeper)
Orlov 6
Shea Theodore 1
Allen 34
Andersen 14 (keeper)
Saros 2 (rinne backup)
Bench guys ($3 each if you wanted to keep):
Elias Lindholm

Frans Nielsen
Tyson Jost
Barzal

Tyler Myers
Ryan Pulock

Anders Nilsson
I also can cut 1 player. Who would you cut?
Thanks!

Sorry, goalies were a disaster as most were kept...(Murray, dubnyk, bobrovsky, Talbot, Andersen all gone)
So the top choices were:
Holtby 40
Price 40
Quick 35
Allen 34
Bishop 33
Crawford 30
Gibson 30
Rinne 30
Jones 28
Lundqvist 25
Craig Anderson 24
Schneider 21
Just curious - what did Steve Mason go for?
$15
Yeah - Allen is still an overpay, but not by as much as I'd have thought. Auction leagues have a steep learning curve. Don't be discouraged - once they click, you can dominate.

That's about right. I only ask because I'm sweet on him this year.
Auction leagues are nearly impossible for outsiders to evaluate because all the other teams may have more (or less) value depending on what they got... at what price... and how much they saved in keeper value.
Looking at your team, you've rostered some guys with really great potential for this year.
That suggests you know your stuff and probably have a solid team, upper half of 13, I'd say.
Maybe 3rd-5th range - to throw a wild guess out there.
Can't really make any recommendations... usually its just fine to start riding out the season and get a feel of your team!
Good luck!
Thanks!
Hoping some young guys hit this year, and the $5 duchene and toffoli bounce back.
I was hoping to get mason but thought he'd go for less than 10 after last year's disaster but apparently not.
Good thinking, I'll see what happens in the first month or so

Who would you have gone with out of that list instead? Outside of the obvious holtby and price @ 40
