    {Draft in progress. Great group of GMs. 11/12 in live attendance. Team #3 on autodraft.}

    Through 8 rounds:
    Projected/2016-2017 Leaders:
    Duncan's Destroyers (Spot10), Wesley's Team (Spot6), and Elliott's Superb Team (Spot1) all at about 78+pts.
Pretty close distribution though - showing good draft balance.

Not sure if I drafted well or horribly, but I like my team.....so I got that going for me.

Not bad. Ovie at number 2 was surprising and I don't like Lucic at 80 overall. You have a few older forwards you drafted earlier than I would have but they seem like good broad cat contributers. Schneider as you number 2 could go either way. Larsson and Koivu late were excellent picks in this format. I was cussing at my screen when you took Larsson because I had him teed up as my next pick. This is going to be a fun year.
    Here's my team...

    1. (7) Carey Price (Mon - G)
    2. (20) Tyler Seguin (Dal - C,RW)
    3. (33) Max Pacioretty (Mon - LW)
    4. (46) Johnny Gaudreau (Cgy - LW)
    5. (59) Frederik Andersen (Tor - G)
    6. (72) Drew Doughty (LA - D)
    7. (85) John Klingberg (Dal - D)
    8. (98) Mark Stone (Ott - RW)
    9. (111) T.J. Oshie (Was - RW)
    10. (124) Justin Faulk (Car - D)
    11. (137) Kyle Turris (Ott - C)

    Thanks.

I tried to target wings & dmen first, and I was back and forth on Ovechkin and Burns all day, but I settled with Ovi.

Admittedly I got caught up too much with looking at SOG and HIT too much, but hopefully there's enough PPP to carry me.

I'm new to Roto so I'm not really sure what to expect.

You will probably be last in hits which will hurt, and your defence is a weak spot. Dubs will have to regain his magic and Boston will have to be a playoff team if your goalies are going to save you from that.
The offence will be in the top third though which is nice not to have to worry about.

These leagues are too complex for me to dominate ... lol. That's why I will only do free leagues in these sets ups

It's all about broad cat coverage. Guys like Kormarov, Kadri, and Faulk aren't sexy picks but it's guys like that that win you leagues like this. You seem to be pretty smart on this stuff...is your preference points only leagues?

Yes. Devote 90% of my time to it. I try these free leagues to get a grasp of it and maybe gain some success but last year I think I came 5th in my division.
