Help with Ovi Trade...

So, I have Ovi...
Although my team looks pretty good (especially if Eberle plays well) a GM has asked if I wanted to trade him.

I don't think I will sign him after this year in any case.

Ovechkin has a 10m salary
There was an article as Ovi being a sell candidate for the right deal...

The below is the GMs team, what seems like a fair deal? I am in desperate need of D, so perhaps a D, and my first round pick back, next year?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I guess I can also just leave my team as it is, and see what happens, but I will have 0 salary during the season, i'm tapped out.

I'd start with an initial ask of Wheeler, Jones, and a pick.

I'd start with Doughty/Wheeler/pick and go from there. Perceived value and all that. Why not for Ovie. Your D isn't that bad in my opinion. You don't to fix it, just make it better.

I would just say you're not shopping him but will look at offers and see what he comes to the table with and go from there. He could surprise you.

Yah defently see where he would go. In your format he is good but without the extras he is moveable. But if he isn't coming back with a top 10 like player offer walk away.

Ov said he isn't going to the Olympics this year so no fear on that. He is motivated to start a cup more so then ever as the window is closing and he weighs less this season so more goals perhaps

In our format, Wheeler performs just as well, if not better at times with 50% less contract so that would be tough, but see what happens.

In this format ^^ Ovechkin is not 'that' awesome. Don't get me wrong, he is a good player, but his perceived valve is much higher than his actually value.

I'm curious as to what the salary cap for the league is. This number will really help to determine what OV is worth.

So my initial thoughts are;
Go back and try to get Jones instead of Jarnkrok, or maybe Zacha

I even have a deal going to get Drouin for Eberle, so this will be a rebuild moment for my team....

Rebuild or not I don't like that offer in the slightest. Those are names being thrown around as possible breakouts for too long now. That's not an offer that brings me to the table.

I moved OV early summer in a league that counts sog and hits while going into a total tear down of my team to start fresh. I might have under sold bc I was a bit afraid of the Olympics scare but you need to aim higher.

Give context my deal was: ov for tkachuk, Aberg, 1st 2018 entry draft with that pick most likely being a top 10 pick

Using Zacha could bring me bac to the table in your deal but also that next piece needs to be stronger.

Well 13 teams so assuming rebuild could be a top 8 pick atleast. But you only can draft 2017 players if I am correct. 2018 players would be better... 2017 has the hype now and some will be good but the drop off from top 2 is big don't forget that

Agreed. Yes, will be this years rookies we can draft.
I don't feel amazing about this deal, I like Zacha and my 1st, but not sure if Mantha is that 3rd piece. His top D are too expensive, and Jones is off the table....
I guess if I think I can win this year (which everyone does at the beginning) I run with Ovi.
