    Default Helly vs Raanta

I'm drafting for a new league and need to choose one of these guys as my 2nd goalie. Who do you think is the better bet, long term?

Raanta now and long term. He's better IMO, and he's a UFA after this season, which means he should have every motivation to play well plus he'll be entered free agency amid a very weak UFA goalie class so he should be able to land in a good situation.

Raanta is the starter now and that's what you go with.

For me, it depends on how you have built your team. If you went the youth route with the idea of building a powerhouse in a few years, I'd gamble on Helly ending up 1G down the road.

The way goalies go, my answer could very well change in a years time, but knowing what we know today I'd want Raanta.

Goalies are flakeya nd so hard to forcast and to set up for more than 2years is a gamble. Raanta.
