Hey all.... just checking with yah.. looking for a real cheap 3rd goalie for next season with sneaky upside that may not be on peoples radar...

Niemi i know has not been good but Murray is injury prone.... thoughts on him as his cap is 800k. Also thinking Ryan Miller but over 2 mil is a bit much for a 3rd tendy unless i shed cap.. any one else im forgetting?

I can't list my 2nd main keeper as there are too many players, but it is a keep all H2H points-only league

Budaj could be sneaky good if Vasilevsky struggles which is totally possible considering what we saw last season.

Not a great team in front of him, but Nilsson in Vancouver could wrest the job away from Markstrom

This for sure! Lehner's size helps and hurts him - literally.

Maybe Lehtonen as a super sneaky pick given Bishop's health and Hitch's behavior.

Niemi is a great pick for both Murray's health history AND the Pens' 19 B2Bs!

    I'd go with Niemi (PIT).
While he's been bad the last few years, that has been in part due to a crap DAL defense and expectations to live up to his salary.
Goalies are incredible characters - and for some guys - having the pressure off will allow them to do well.
There is zero pressure for him in Pittsburgh, he's the back-up, and they aren't paying him to be fantastic.

Pittsburgh is a good team, and I expect to see Niemi get 25-30 starts because PIT knows that Murray can take them to another cup with a 50gp regular season workload.
