Connor for Ho-Sang

Connor is in my farm.

I trade: Kyle Connor
I receive: Ho-Sang AND EITHER a 2019 first round rookie draft pick(assuming it will be top 6 based on team), or one of J. Schmaltz, Zboril, Milano, or Vatrano.

I am pushing for Ho-Sang and Vrana, and if I can get that, is that the choice?

I see Connor as a potential 65-70 point guy, just don't love his situation in WPG.

Ho-Sang is good, but I don't see him in the same tier as Connor as far as prospects.

Are any of the options in the deal above good enough sweeteners to move Connor? Or should I hold?

That's a tough one...

I like Connor and think he hits middle six this year, and top six next year and beyond. However, there's only so many points available...

I'd probably pull the trigger and go with Ho-Sang + Vrana. There's nice potential for both of them.

I would not do Ho-Sang + a pick - just not enough upside.

I find this difficult to answer because you haven't posted your farm rules. The longer a player can be stashed, the more value I put on Connor's upside. You also haven't mentioned your short-term objectives...i.e. whether you feel you need a player sooner or can wait it out a bit.

Without having any context, I'd go with keeping Connor as the highest upside guy. But this could be crappy advice, depending on your actual situation ...

I like Ho-Sang and Vrana better than Conner. Conner will not be producing much of anything in Winnipeg, if he moved teams maybe it's a different story but he is currently in Winnipeg and as long as that is the case I am staying away unless I can get him at a significant discount.

I agree that H-S+Vrana is good value for Connor (although I wouldn't do that if I owned H-S + Vrana), but I don't get your cold water on Connor's upside in the 'peg? He needs only to leapfrog Matthias to secure 3L (shouldn't be tough) and if Little is not re-signed (and given the number of RFAs coming down the pipe, I'm suspecting he's gone at the deadline), Perreault moves to 2C, Connor is your 2L. That's a fairly solid opportunity for sheltered minutes. Unless of course, you think he's overrated, then that's a different question.
