    Default OEL trade

Want your opinion on a potential trade in my salary cap keeper league.
Cats are G A PPP SHP PIMS SOG. 12 teams, 18 players, 10 keepers.

    Current keepers are:

    FWD: Tavares (5.5) Barkov (5.9) Pacioretty (4.5) Stone (3.5) Wheeler (5.6) Carter (5.2) Sheary (3.0)
    D: Carlson (4.0) Trouba (2.8)
    G: Price (6.5)

One GM is not expected to include OEL (5.5) on his keeper list.
Should I offer him a draft pick for him (i.e. a 6-7 draft pick)? If he doesn't plan on keeping him, he'll accept the deal unless he gets offered more.
If so, who should I remove from my keeper list?
I know someone had interest in my Carter and was potentially willing to give me a draft pick.

OEL being bound to outproduce maybe both of your D makes me think you should try to acquire him.

I'm not too acquainted with what values 5-6th pick hold (I understand it's great value, so you could to bargain for a lesser return, that would be great for you) and obviously if you can mitigate your loss by trading one of your players it makes it for a good deal overall.

Looking at your forwards I would go with Carter or Sheary and probably keep both of your Ds.

    My opinion
    10-team Pts only, 19-man roster, 9F, 4D, 2G, 4bench 95M cap league
F: T.Tompson Pasta Kaprizov Rantanen Gaudreau Necas Greig Zegras Vilardi
    D: Josi Bouchard Sandin Sanheim
    G Shesterkin Samsonov
    B: Woll Perfetti Poitras
    Farm: Guenther, Will Smith

A quick note: if it were me, I would not give him to you for a 6-7 for the principle of it: if you get stars that cheap, then I strengthen my opponent without enough gain to make it worth it. For all you know he is looking to draft OEl with his first couple picks.

And, yes, I would move Carter for a pick and replace the spot with OEL, giving you a nice d-core to start the season with and moving out an aging scorer.
