Frank Vatrano's value

He had some amazing stats in the AHL last year but I never really watched him play tbh.

I like Vatrano a lot as a depth multi-cat guy but in points-only I feel his upside is quite limited and I think he's very replaceable in a league of this size.

That said does it hurt your team if you own Pettersson for a couple years while he develops? Do you have farm/prospect slots for guys like him in your league?

Yes I do actually. I updated my signature it should be easier to understand now. I'm a bit confused about Vatrano since he's been undrafted and wasn't really impressive until he scored 36 goals and 55 pts in 36 games in the AHL. Even Guentzel's numbers aren't close to that.

It looks like you can stash him in a farm, but I wouldn't over Mittelstadt, Demko or Tippett. Maybe Rasmussen... but Vatrano might be worth more to you this upcoming season. Petterson will be a long wait and the cost of the wait would be one of those prospects you already have. So I say keep Vatrano or go look for another prospect that is worth your trade.
