Just want some thoughts on this proposal...

Thinking about sending an offer of:

My Larkin, Krug and Hellybuck

for his

Sam Reinhart, Doughty and Vasilievsky

My thoughts would be
Reinhart >>> Larkin
Doughty < Krug
Vasilievsky > Hellybuck (mainly because he should get more guranteed starts)


Doughty might be a push to get the other owner to agree too. He also has Justin Faulk, Nick Leddy, Tyson Barrie, and T.J. Brodie. Doughty and Faulk are the only ones I would really consider.

Please give me some thoughts on this.
For second team in signature. Goals and assists are 1 point, powerplay points are a bonus point.

I like the deal for you. I'd go for it.

For what its worth, I'd see if he'd do Zaitsev instead of Krug. Don't be afraid of Leddy either - it wouldn't surprise me if Leddy outscores Doughty and Faulk in your format for the next 2-3 years.

I like your breakdown on the trade. I too think it would be a good move for you. Vasilevskiy vs Hellebuyck can end up being closer to a wash but otherwise I think you walk away a winner by pulling the trigger here!

I had sent an original offer of my Larkin, Carlson and Helly for Reinhart and Vasileivsky. It was rejected and he said he was looking for a bigger d-man than Carlson. So I don't think Zaitzev would work. I am not trading Karlsson or Klingberg (like having Klingberg to go with Benn and Seguin) which leaves Krug. If I am trading Krug, I would want a good d-man coming back.

I like that deal for you. I am not sure I agree that Krug is the better option over Doughty so that's why I like this deal. I see them more as equal.

I think youre really skewing the Hellboy/Vas side of this. Considering this years results and the one year deal- I think Helle is a rather alarming own all of a sudden. Vas struggled to- but at least had some dominant stretches in there as opposed to being consistently inconsistent. Also all signs are still pointing to Vasilevskiy being given a real shot with a long leash. Not only do I not think Helle gets the edge- the goalie values kill this whole deal for me. I own Vas and would npt consider anything that started with Helle as the goalie coming back- just saying.

If you could do it without the goalies Id still do it. If you get that with the goalie swap its a homerun- but Id be prepared to accept a baffled response as I think 90% of owners will not understand your valuation of those goalies...

Well, his biggest concern is Larkin in the deal. He has asked if there is someone else I could put in instead. I have been trying to hold steady and play up how good Krug is. If I had to swap in Okposo instead of Larkin, would the deal still be worth it to me?

I dont blame him. Larkin should be the biggest concern.

I dont see this as as much of a win for you with Okposo in there, but I'd still do the deal.

That was my thought as well which is why Iam pushing to keep Larkin in there.

If the other GM is big on Doughty could you not take the D out of the deal and just do Larkin, Helly for Reinhart, Vas? If so that's a big win for you.

He actually hasn't questioned doughty at all. His main target has been Krug so I added doughty to cover my defence loss a bit.
