Trading Seguin away

As much as we'd all like to get a top 3 pick next year, if you don't address your goaltending, you aren't winning anything. Even Svechnikov/Dahlin won't score you a quality starter straight up. Don't get blinded by the early pick. Focus on your needs and you need a goalie a lot more than you need a Dahlin or a Svechnikov.

Wouldn't Allen help adress my goaltending at least a bit in that trade? :

I thought about the goalie option but I'm not sure the other manager go for that, even if you're giving back a lesser goalie. The fact that Hutton is his #2 (and a handcuff to Allen) makes me think he's unlikely to go. Of course, you can ask if he wants Seguin that much. If you do, I'd consider Mrazek as part of the deal going back since he has Coreau (maybe he likes handcuffs and feels a bit safer in case Howard struggles or gets hurt).

The other thing to consider in this thread is that it's a 16 team league so goalie value is likely to be much higher and much more difficult to acquire.

You're assuming he will accept your original offer before any goalies are even included. Don't get me wrong, it's worth a shot I guess but you just need to focus on clearing your teams shortcomings over getting a top 3 pick next year if moving Seguin is going to happen.
