I would hope for a little bit of magic/chemistry to happen if he makes the team, however the voice of reason tells me that since he didn't dominate the AHL last year, they'll let him bake down there for a while longer in hopes that he does. Why rush things?
If he makes the team but doesnt see regular time with Eichel, temper your expectations. My guess is 30-40 pts.

I think he'll get some games to get his feet wet at this level but should be another season in the AHL. Still like what he brings to the table, size, great hands, very good shot. Had OK numbers in the AHL but he was on a mediocre team and the AHL is a hard league to adjust to for many so all in all it was a good year for him.

I think he starts the season in the AHL but could work his way up later in the season. Should get at least some games as injury call-up, though.
