My league has year-round trading, we suspend trading during our playoffs but otherwise its open for business. No good reason to make it harder for people to trade, IMO.
What day to people use for their deadlines out there- what works best? Also when is the nhl de\adline.
Im torn if it should be before the trade deadline or after. If its before youre kind of gambling on a few names moving- but if its after you have time to adjust...

Mine has the deadline 24 hours after the NHL deadline to allow GMs to adjust for real world. As we don't have a playoff season, we unfreeze at the end of the last game of the season.

In my money league it's a week after the NHL deadline

Well its going to be a dynasty with big rosters and limited waiver moves so I was kind of hoping to avoid "gauge" trades where an active team can trade off half his roster as an overpayment to get an edge during the playoffs. Does that make sense? Or am I overthinking it?
