    Default Vasilevskiy or Bishop

In a keep 12 league, using standard goalie stats W, SHO, Save % and GAA, with teams locked weekly.

I own Gibson and will keep him.

Who do you like this year between Vasilevskiy and Bishop? How about the next 3-5 years?

I have a team to contend this year, but my team is young enough to be strong for next few years as well.

I had been thinking Bishop due to signing with a strong team; however FHG have them basically even and obviously Vas has many more years ahead of him.

    Thanks.

I prefer Bishop this upcoming season. Maybe 2. After that, I'll take Vas.

You have to take Bishop for now, but in a year or three I think that Vas could surpass him.

Gotta be Bishop. Sure, in 3 years Vas should overtake him for good; but in 3 years you'll likely have flipped a good chunk of your roster anyhow, and you could easily have come across the next Vas by then. You can't play for 3 years from now if you have a chance of competing today, so give me the better goalie for this season in Bishop.

I think they're pretty close....I actually own Gibson and Vasilievsky...I would not trade my Vasilievsky for Bishop....

Vasilievsky will have a lot of starts this year....Bishop injury history is concerning too...

    I'd gamble with Vasilievsky

Not to mention that Lethonen is a capable goaltender, who's got a real good shot of looking better under a Hitchcock defensive system, leading to more split time between Bishop and Lethonen in net.

I would gamble on Vasielevskiy. Bishop's numbers last year were concerning (0.911 in 32 games for TB, 0.900 in 7 games for LA), and Dallas' defence is no better than those two teams.

Bishop. Yes, he had a down season playing limited games for a team that he knew was phasing him out. I would throw last years stats out.

I think Bishop crushes it for Dallas and I prefer him over Vasilevskiy for the next 2-3 seasons.

Why not shop both in the trade market and sell which ever gives you the better return? Hell, shop Gibson around too and see what he'll fetch.
