Weber, Jones, Faulk, Barrie, Fowler
Just for fun I went back and looked at the past final (points) statistics of d men. The number beside each players name is NOT their own personal statistics but that is how each 1st through 21st d men scored at that position to give you a good idea what to generally expect
Am liking this list and think it's pretty accurate.
Points Standings
2017 Election Winners 16/17 15/16 14/15 1 Erik Karlsson - OTT 76 82 66 2 Brent Burns - SJ 72 75 60 3 Victor Hedman - TB 71 67 60 4 John Klingberg 56 61 56 5 Roman Josi - NSH 53 58 55 6 Kris Letang - PIT 52 56 55 7 Dougie Hamilton 51 55 54 8 Oliver Ekman-Larsson - ARI 51 53 53 9 Dustin Byfuglien - BUF 50 51 52 10 P.K. Subban - NSH 49 51 52 11 Kevin Shattenkirk - NYR 49 51 50 12 Torey Krug - BOS 48 51 49 13 Rasmus Ristolainen - BUF 47 49 48 14 Duncan Keith - CHI 46 49 46 15 Alex Pietrangelo - STL 45 47 46 16 Zach Werenski - CBJ 44 47 45 17 Shayne Gostisbehere - PHI 43 46 45 18 Oscar Klefbom - EDM 42 45 45 19 John Carlson - WSH 42 44 45 20 Drew Doughty - LA 42 44 44 21 Keith Yandle - FLA 41 44 44
Whats the number beside? Which cats?
I think what he's saying - and it's quite interesting and useful - is that's how many points the defensemen who finished in that overall scoring position had in those seasons. For example, through our poll we voted Klefbom 18th, and the defenseman who finished 18th in rearguard scoring had 42 points in 2016-17, 45 in 2015-16, and 45 in 2014-15. In turn, by virtue of having voted Klefbom into that spot, we're thinking he should have roughly 43 or 44 points in 2017-18 if recent trends hold true.

Yeah, Im wondering what the scoring for this league is.
Wait. What?
The numbers next to the defender is how many fantasy points they had in that league, right?
Its NHL statistics. For instance the 5th place finisher the past 3 years has gotten 53,58,55 pts respectively. It's not Josi's stats, it's just the historical 5th place finisher that got that many points. Since we voted Josi 5th best d man that is the "general" what to expect from him.
so for where Erik Karlsson is ranked #1 .... the number next to him is what the 1st place guy got last year (16/17) which was Brent Burns (76pts) then the number beside that is the first place finisher in (15/16) which was Erik Karlsson who got (82pts) and for (14/15) the top d man that year was Erik Karlsson who got (66pts)
