Ghost and Risto
16 Team- 7 Keeper (1L, 1C, 1R, 1Util, 2D, 1G)- G, Pts, +/-, PIM, PPP, SOG, Hits
Keep 2 D from the following group:
Gost-Bear
Ristolainen
Barrie
Carlson
Ekblad
Advice?
Ghost and Risto
Ristolainen
Ekblad
Becaus it is a multicat league that counts PIM and Hits I? think these are your two guys.
Ristolainen and Ghost for me. Barrie and Carlson won't give you much in the way of hits, and I don't believe in Ekblad putting up offensive numbers until Yandle is gone.
12 Team H2H
Skater Cats: G, A, P, PPP, SOG, HIT, BLK
Goalie Cats: W, GAA, SV%
3 C, 3 RW, 3 LW, 5 D, 4 BN, 2 G
Ristolainen easy first choice given both offense (on an improving Sabres' team), SOG and hits.
Gostisbehere probably a good second for balance. Yes, it's a multi cat league but his goal scoring ability and PPP in his young career are too enticing to drop into the draft.
Carlson is tempting but not sure he will produce as much offensively, especially on PP with Orlov and Niskanen still there.
Barrie and Ekblad are likely easier redrafts.
I think Ghost and Risto are the best options

Ghost and Risto for me as well.

Risto as a definite #1 - so solid across all cats. After that I'd lean towards Ghost or Ekblad... would depend on how the rest of my team balances out across all stats.

Risto and Carlson
Risto and Carlson for me.
Risto easy choice.
Carlson. He has his PP gig back (IMO) with Shatty shipped off again and what a potent PP it is. I don't think Niskanen or Orlov are taking the reigns of that beast unless Carlson is injured. Again just my opinion.
As for Gostisbehere?
I don't trust Ghost. Never have. I picked him up as a free agent for nothing 2 years ago when he got the call up. Yes, he killed it for me but I always had an uneasy feeling about his game. Small. Doesn't hit. Doesn't block very much. Provorov breathing over his shoulder. I traded him away mid season last year for Subban. Breathed a sigh of relief.
Don't get me wrong, the kid has talent, but I just think injuries, provorov, and his lack of a well rounded defensive skill set limits his likely upside. If he can stay healthy and keep his PP quarterback gig, I agree he is good for around 50 points a season with limited peripherals. To many ifs for me though. I would prefer to own Carlson or Barrie. Hell, I think I might even prefer Ekblad, who I believe has another gear to his game.

Risto/Ekblad for me. I could be convinced on Carlson or Ghost though.

(No I don't have a hockey problem...)
Risto is a lock. I think Ekblad bounces back to regular form this year, especially with a rejuvenated forward corps, making him your #2. Carlson is your #3, assuming that Wash bounces back strong from their post-season breakdown.
Gost is close, it's just that the Philly blue line is going to get a bit more clogged every year.
