    Default Top 10 Goalies for next season

    Who would you say are the top 5 goalies in the league for next season? Here are the cats

    Win = 2 pts
    OTL = 1 pt
    SO = 1 pt

    Here is my top 5. I'd like to hear your guys thoughts on this as well. Thanks

    Braden Holtby (WAS)
    Cam Talbot (EDM)
    Devan Dubnyk (MIN)
    Carey Price (MTL)
    Andrei Vasilevsky (TB)
    Sergei Bobrovsky (CBJ)
    Ben Bishop (DAL)
    Martin Jones (SJ)
    Jake Allen (STL)
    Corey Crawford (CHI)

    I would have Murray in the top 3 if the Penguins didn't say they were going to cap his games.

    Dallas will bounce back with some good goaltending.
    Not a huge J.Allen believer, and I think Stl could be in tough to make the playoffs in the central division this year.

    yes you're right. am going to have to put a lot of research into this. Spend 70% of my time on forwards, 20% on defence and 10% on goalies which I should be looking at more. Am thinking Vasilevsky is going to be a top 5 goalie, just hope they give him enough starts.

    These were the top 30 goalies from last year

    Holtby 99
    Talbot 99
    Bobrovsky 94
    Dubnyk 90
    Rask 89
    Anderson (TOR) 85
    Price 83

    With the stats in your league, P.Budaj would have been a top 10 goalie last year and he got a 2year extension in Tampa.
    Not saying im team Budaj, just food for thought.

    ps. edit: nearly top 10, not quite tho.

    I forgot Talbot. Put him just below Vasilevskiy and bump Bob out. I still don't trust Bob from a number of standpoints, none of which are his individual talent level.

    I usually tend to buy low on Goalies since some of them are hard to predict and in most of my leagues, managers go after all the top goalies right off the bat, so if ur sitting with the last pick then roughly 10 goalies are taken and it's almost worth your while to pick back to back 70+ pt forwards and buy low on a goalie in the later rounds who will still get you 60-70 pts. Thats how I been normally doing it year by year but still haven't won THIS league, usually 30 teams and last season I got 2nd, the year before I got 3rd. 8 forwards, 2 defence, 1 goalie, 3 extra players you pick in case there are injuries but you cannot drop players once you draft em.

    Especially with the Kings basically having a tryout for the backup position between Zatkoff and Kuemper. I thought about putting Quick in the 8-10 range. He will probably be somewhere between 8-15 in wins this season considering how often he's likely going to play.

    This is pretty close to my list as well. I'd shift a couple guys around but that would be my 10

    I would be a little worried taking Pricer at #2 since their team is not quite as good as it was last year by losing Radulov and Markov. Can't really see him getting 40 wins next year unless he plays 70 + games which I doubt he will
