I want to trade one of my 3 starting goalies to get a solid D or dual C. I've pretty much decided Bobo is going on the block. All GMs I'm gonna approach are lacking seriously in the goalie department. So I'm thinking I approach with this...

Bobrovsky for Draisitl or

Bobrovsky for Hedman plus high round pick

With my league setup and the amount of picks I have going into the draft. Which Avenue do you think is best for me entering the new season?

I agree that I would move one. Keeping three goalies in a keep 7 when its only 4/11 cats seems like a lot. I would try for Drai.

I also like both. Are the positions for forwards (Drai may be too much of a good thing if you start Cs).

I'd grab Draisaitl. Karlsson alone puts you ahead of the game as far as a D-core foundation goes.

McDavid, Scheifle, Eichel, and Draisaitl is oh-so-sexy for the next 10+ years. You've got the luxury of grabbing a dman or two with your high picks...

I personally like the idea of Draisaitl by a hair.

As was already noted, you already have a top 2 defenseman keeper in Karlsson. In a keep 7, having 2 defenseman as keepers seems a little heavy in my mind, particularly when you are already keeping 2 goalies.

With that said, the Hedman/top pick option isn't a bad alternative. Having 2 of the top 5 defenseman in the league never hurts when you are constructing your roster for next year.

Is there any way you can clone Bobrovsky and then accept both of those trades? I like both of them a lot for you.

I think I would accept the Hedman one... but I am always in favour of having the best d defense i can.

The thing that scares me about Draisaitl is if Edmonton uses him as 2nd line centre for more depth down the centre... can he be the Malkin to Crosby? Or will he be more of a 65 point centre when not playing on McDavids wing.

I take Hedman and the high round pick.

With (1) Hedman's point production, (2) PPP, hits and PIMs as categories, and (3) general excitement of what Stamkos' return to the lineup might hold for Hedman's outlook, it wouldn't surprise me if Hedman alone could fetch you someone relatively on par with Draisitl if you'd prefer to bolster your forward ranks. And you'd then be left holding an extra high round pick for your efforts.

While I agree that both trades look great, I too can't see the Draisaitl owner accepting it. You have better chance landing Hedman. Better, but it isn't a slam dunk either.
