First Year Dynasty Trade Help

I might start a new thread for the first couple rounds of this draft, I always love looking at new dynasty results, maybe others will as well.

First 7 picks were:
1. McDavid
2. Benn
3. Matthews
4. Eichel
5. Crosby
6. Kucherov
7. Tarasenko

At 8 I took Karlsson and was really happy about it. Would have taken him at 3 if I kept it.

Yup, congrats. I would have wanted Karlsson to and taken him as high as 6th, based on the order guys came off the board. I'd say the trade worked out like you wanted, and I would have done the same. Have you made your picks at 17 and 21 yet?

I have. I took Murray at 17 and Marner at 21. Reached a little with Marner but I think him and Matthews are going to be 80 point players.

Pretty young but I like my make up so far. Going to start targeting multi category guys now that I have starters in every position.

Was that Craig Anderson who was your 3rd selection? I doubt you would have drafted Josh Anderson that high... But Craig is not young.

Here's hoping its a spelling mistake and it is Frederik Andersen ... Craig IMO is too high for a dynasty draft. He was drafted 11th round in one of my dynasty leagues last year just for reference.

I'd guess it's Andersen. Would have waited on a 2nd goalie

Murray-Andersen would be an awesome goalie tandem in a dynasty league, let's hope it was Andersen he got.

That should be a high end tandem for the next decade. Just hope Murray can stay healthy.

So now my team is..

C: Barkov
LW: Ehlers, E.Kane (love him in SOG, Hits, PIM leagues)
RW: Marner
D: Karlsson, Gotisbehere, Trouba (drafted him over Carlsson, Klefbom so i hope it pays off. Expecting him to put up 100+ hits and blocks, 200 SOG and solid point production for years to come.)
G: Murray, F. Anderson

Pretty happy with things so far. Still looking to add more grit and obviously another center soon.

Don't go too gritty you can get those guys anywhere. I go skill then skill and grit like Kreider then add like Boroweicki and Matt martin

Hey guys! Haha yes it was Frederik Anderson!

It would really help if you would write his name correctly. It's Andersen, not Anderson. We can't confuse him with anyone else if you write his name correctly because there's no one else named Andersen in the league.

I think you reached for Barkov and Gostisbehere but that's a decent looking team so far.
