    This is depressing...
You forgot Petry. I think him, Benn and Alzner (and of course Weber) are reasonable top-4 D. Schelmko is a good #5, and Jerabek could surprise.

I'm not excited either, but it's not that bad..

I was talking about lefties though.
It's not a bad top-4, but it really lacks speed and puck skills. That's what worries me the most...
    Points-only keeper league. 12 teams. Keep any 12 players. Dress 12F - 6D - 2G.

Low risk signing. Why not take a chance.

I do not think Jordie Benn is a top 4 defenceman. I don't actually think he's anywhere close to one. He was barely a regular player in Dallas and had a nice little run in MTL. Dude is trash. Schlemko is better, but still probably not an actual 4.

    100% agree.

Montreal needs an NHL defenseman or two or they and my newest acquisition (Price) are in big trouble this season.

I still can't believe this signing. Pittsburgh had something like 17 defensemen injured in the playoffs, and they still wouldn't dress Streit.

Montreal will probably play him for 82 games.

Defence: Hedman, Fox, Matheson, Thrun, Jiricek
Goalies: Kochetkov, Talbot, Vasilevskiy, Campbell, Schmid

Low risk assuming they don't have to use him!

I think I have felt like this about the Habs since 1994... I think fans of this storied franchise, the Yankees of hockey, should expect and frankly demand much more. I want to be excited and I want it to be really that good. In nearly my entire conscious lifetime, I haven't been. Something's not right with the Habs since Scotty Bowman left....

About god damn time... The Habs have been a joke for a while. The last straw for me was the Subban trade. I just enjoy their fans making up excuses every time.

I couldn't believe we traded Chris Chelios twice.... on the same day, 26 years apart...
