We keep 15 players (any position) plus two rookies.

I don't mind the signing but does this really impact Markov at all? Seems like they're a few levels apart at this point in their careers...

Streit is probably not an NHL caliber player anymore, but it's 700k, so who cares.
If this has any impact on Markov that's a damning, embarrassing indictment of Bergevin and nothing else.

No risk really... Easy to bury or sit... Will be surprised if it impacts Markov but is it the team positioning themselves for a plan B to waive at Markov if he doesn't re up? Risky

Unhappy Habs fan right here. At best he'll produce enough to offest the liability he'll be defensively. As others have said at least it's cheap, but it still chews up a little cap.

I count 7 left defensemen on this team and only one is a legit top-4.
Alzner, Benn (I know he can play on the right, but still), Davidson, Schlemko, Morrow, Streit, Jerabek.
This is depressing...
Points-only keeper league. 12 teams. Keep any 12 players. Dress 12F - 6D - 2G.

No risk and he can potentially turn things around, i doubt it but 700K to the Habs is nothing. Hope we still get Markov back but am losing a little hope as each day goes by.
