Signing someone long-term after just one good season is always a big risk but that's the risk the Predators are willing to take, and that's why they got a good salary number here. Arvidsson is the type of player who is worth the risk because even if his offensive production drops, he can still provide a lot of value with everything else he does. As long as he gives them 50 points, that's still great value. If he can stay around 60 points, that's a huge steal of a contract.
