Who will become the better fantasy player in a points only format?

    Brayden Point or Brock Boesner

My view: Point has more talent on his team but with TyJo getting resigned longterm point has too many bodies to jump to play with the better players and get top minutes. Boesner is on a rebuilding team but vancouver finally is assembling a decent cast of prospects and he has no competition for prime minutes.

I still like Point over Boeser in a points only league this year.

    Point could end up with ~20-25 G + 25-35 A = 45-60 points.

While Boeser will be goal heavy with ~20-25 G + 15-20 A = 35-45 points. Still a year or two away from major production.

EDIT: Long term I think they remain close with ~65-70 point upside. Perhaps a little more in their career years. Boeser's value is greater in leagues that give bonus points for goals and sog.

Boeser... he is going to be more used because of what the Canucks lineup looks like.

Point is behind a lot of talented forwards in getting prime minutes.

I think you summed it up pretty well. Don't second guess your self, go with Brock.

Point has shown he can play both center and the wing in the NHL so while TJ's signing may affect his FOW's, that doesn't mean he still wouldn't be skating on a wing in the top six and be putting up points.

I think both will end up very close in points for the next couple seasons. Boeser may pull away but a lot will have to do with the players Vancouver surrounds him with. If the players don't get better than what I see right now, I'll want Point long term. If Vancouver can find a better pivot to play with Boeser than someone like Bo Horvat (I am not overly high on him for points), then I can see Boeser being the better option long term.

I'll agree with this assessment as well.

Point for me. Will have better line mates for the next few years and believe he is the more skilled player.

Point for me too. I think he's the reason why Drouin has been traded.
