I would be taking the under on that. 35 points is a career year for him. I dont believe he is getting any better as a player.

Love this deal. He's all but assured top 6 minutes. His deal is freakishly cheap.

Colorado sucks so bad, they have to give him ample time to figure it out.

I've heard umpteen times that how over rated he was in the O, but I don't care how over rated you are when you put up 100 points. Those numbers tell me he has oodles of talent.

I ended up landing him in the 42nd (and final) round of my draft.

He kept on dropping, and dropping, and dropping - so I figured....What the heck. I also realize full well that no one left in the 42nd round simply has the pedigree or upside of him.

I think he's got a chance to put up some points in Colorado. He might lack hockey sense but he has some skill. He did well on the Oilers in 2012, putting up 31 points in 48 games - a 50 point pace. I think his aim should be 30 pts this year to show that he offers something to an NHL team, because it's not going to be defense.

some fair points. if yakupov get's some confidence and momentum on his side he can do a bit of damage. on top of that he should be given a bit of a long leash in Colorado he could have a surprisingly good year. Am going to be careful if I end up drafting him in any of my leagues but will have him on my radar no doubt.
