Give Provorov to get Domi, P/O Dynasty? REP Given!

Just got an offer of Domi (I need LW) and a 2018 2nd for Provorov and a 2018 1st. What are your thoughts? It's for the second team in my signature. I might be leaving myself short on D. Only good D prospects I have are Sanheim and Heiskanen. My reserve LWs are Duclair, Namestnikov and Grabner. I don't even have any reserve D right now, and the best I could get off waivers are del Zotto, Petry or Adam Larsson.

I'm thinking or countering with him adding in A. Nylander, Milano, Tippett or Mantha, and probably also Brodin as well since I'd be so weak on D. Or would grabbing del Zotto be better than getting Brodin? Or do i need a good smack and to be told just to be happy with Provorov?

Based on your statements that you don't have any D replacements, I wouldn't do the deal. the guys on waivers you can get are not good. Suggestion... trade Giroux for a better LW than Domi.
Keep provorov.

Brodin is junk for fantasy hockey. Useless is a better term. No no no... Keep Provorov and your 1st round pick.

Putting aside the swap of picks, I'm intrigued by the seemingly consensus response here.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a BIG Provorov believer. But I typically hear people rave about him in a multi-cat setup, and knock him down a few pegs (or more than a few pegs) from a points-only perspective. So given that this a points-only format and the OP already has Subban, Parayko, Jones and Schmidt as a nice foundation on the blue line, I suspected that people might find it easier to move Provorov.

I guess people see Provorov setting into a higher points production range than I assumed was the view. Anyone willing to share what you foresee as his likely yearly points range as he matures?

(Sorry -- not looking to hijack the thread. Just hoping to understand the reasoning underlying the responses given to the OP a little better given that I think I've misunderstood what I've read elsewhere about how the forum generally views Provorov from a purely offensive point of view.)

No apology needed! This is exactly what I was looking to know. It seems people are really high on Provorov, but I'm less likely to trust a young D to turn into an offensive dynamo. They seem so hard to predict. Any I've got Heiskanen and Sanheim coming up. Think they could be playing soon, and getting any points?

To be honest, I thought Alexander Nylander was the best part of the entire trade offer. I am not as high on Domi as most so the fact he was asked to add a 1st round pick to Provorov to get him for Domi and a 2nd was an easy decline in my eyes. The addition of Brodin did nothing for me as I had mentioned, he's really not effective for fantasy hockey.

If he wants to work out a deal to move Provorov, that's one thing but why the need to add to him to trade him. To me that doesn't make much sense.

I've responded asking for Domi AND Tkachuk for Provorov. Doubt it happens, but I don't want to weaken myself on D unless it's really worth it. My LW is pretty weak, and several are fairly old. Thoughts?

likely shut down. I think for the time being, you'll likely be holding onto provorov. and you should IMO. he's going to be a complete stud.
