IMO, Justin Faulk is quite overrated.
You don't count SOG... and outside of his 49pt season, he's more of a 40pt-pacing D-man who misses a handful of games.
And he's yet to show he can have a PLUS season, -19, -22, -18.
People too often, IMO, just disregard +/- because it does vary for some players.
And, I think, Faulk gets too much love for barely scraping a tad over 100 hits. Meh.
Faulk (like Barrie) is on a bad team and they're poor defensive D-men and they'll stay MINUS D-men.
That's hard to compensate for... and its a real MINUS in the fantasy world.
I'd prefer a few less HIT/BLK if I'm getting a PLUS D-man like I expect from Carlson, Parayko, and Klefbom.
Trouba has good all around numbers and I think his game is about to pop, so I included him in upper tier.
I like Krug's offense... but that's it. No peripherals.
Justin Faulk (top mix of potential and fills up all cats)
John Carlson (down year last year, should bounce back pts-wise but not a top hitter)
Colton Parayko (should continue to improve, good across the board)
Jacob Trouba (good multi-cat guy, could rise up here but I would need to see him repeat last year's limited-but-great output before)
Torey Krug (less hits, less points, no SOG counted)
Oscar Klefbom (he's a good young D in a great situation; the only reason he's at the bottom of my list is because I feel the others are a notch above)
Tyson Barrie (great point-getter but lack of hits and horrible +/- chances will bring down his value)
Keeper league 14 teams (H2H, 20 active players keep 16 NHLers, 16 minors)
