Ah, there goes Kareem Hunt. . . .

Yes, great pick by Bomm Bastic. I was away at camp with very little internet so I was only making picks from my list I had printed.
Where do you guys think he gets drafted now in leagues? Ware was taken with the last pick of round 5.
Insert Hunt here? Or a round later?

On the other end, pmorrow, you may want to be aware that Cameron Meredith is probably missing the season. Good thing it's just a mock

(No I don't have a hockey problem...)
He is going there, but that's too high imo. I'm drafting him as an RB2 ONLY if I am drafting DJ or Lev to cover up the weekly fluctuations and even then I don't feel too good a bout it. Yes he has all the opportunity to produce. No one can argue against that point. But rookies in general seldom produce top twelve end of season numbers let alone weekly. If you draft Hunt in the third you're drafting him as a RB14-16, and that's peak price imo. Just no value in that and a lot of risk to go with it.
@SmittysRant
Fair point. But I think that means you'll likely not get him very often. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing in the end as I agree that rookies are tough to project. But the knock with projecting rookie RBs tends to be the difficulty in knowing how much run they'll get compared to their more established teammates (particularly in this day and age of RBBCs). But once the opportunity variable clears up, all bets are off given that the learning curve tends to be the shallowest of offensive skill positions.
To compare, I think people are still more likely to draft Cook ahead of Hunt. But, particularly in a one year, why?
I don't think the talent disparity is that great. And Hunt now has the better situation.
Less competition.
Better line.
Better scheme.
Equal if not better complementary pieces around him.
All in all, Hunt has just as good a chance (if not a better one) to succeed this season as any other rookie back. Yet he'll likely be the third -- possibly the fourth -- off the board.
It's a strange year at RB. Lots of question marks after the top 3 or 4. The Ware injury clears the path to significant playing time, and I think vaults Hunt way up in the rankings as a result. Sure, he could flop. But as Gurley showed last year, pretty much all backs are susceptible to doing so if the circumstances conspire, regardless of pedigree or past results. I guess my point is that there's nothing that leads me to believe that he's any more likely to do so than the RBs being drafted around him -- and even a few being drafted way ahead of him (I'm looking at you, Shady).
