Wow crazy. How does this work, can he actually pitch in MLB/ Jays affiliates immediately? or does he have to turn 18?

I assumed you had to have been graduated from HS (or 18) to play pro baseball but the international stuff is vastly different than any other pro sports I follow. 5'8"? Sounds like Stroman 2.0

This is pretty much what I was thinking... that is a lot of money for someone who isn't even eligible to graduate high school yet.

The Jays used to be all over this in the '80's one of the best at teenage scouting. Glad to see that coming back. Gave them an edge. Delgado, Fernandez,

It's even worse in football. Teams like Manchester or Real Madrid sign 12 year olds to their "formation" squad.

5'8" in grade 10. Could get to 6'0", but likely 5'10"/11" (MLB lists him at 5'10" already). He's throwing 94mph already tho, so could be high 90s FB in 6-8yrs when we see him....

International you have a limit to how much one can make if you sign between 16-18, which is why vladimir guerrero jr waited till 18 to sign, so he could sign more.

Also, while No. 5 on MLB.com’s list of 30 international amateur prospects, I think he's the No1 Pitcher, where the next closest pitcher is Damian Mendoza at 27 (expected to sign with the Rangers) who throws an 80-88mph FB. Eric Pardinho is going to be good if all goes well
