    Sergachev for me.
I think his overall game better suits the current NHL and I really like the depth of TB for overall scoring.
There's a lot of token assists there on that TB team.

With Pulock, he's blocked by Leddy up to PP1 and the PPP for NYI are really only on PP1 unit.
With TB there's two good units, and Sergachev will get time on PP2 - also Stralman is aging and I'm not sure he's renewed in summer 2019.
The TB D is stark after Hedman (if Stralman is let go), so lots and lots of TOI for Sergachev.

Ultimately, remind yourself that John Tavares may NOT be an Islander after this year.
And then ask yourself which player you like going forward if that's not the case.
TB has a LOT of stock put in Sergachev with that Drouin trade.

Also, time for a new segment that I call HappySerg-SadSerg

Is it possible to not love this guy?!

    Great analysis Pengwin.

Sometimes a player can get more chances then they generally should simply due to sunk costs in a trade that they had done. That could be the case with sergachev.

It was cost savings trade for sure but Yzerman also gain the best prospect MTL had and saved a "protect spot" so it's a great value trade for sure. This situation will give Sergachev a better chance to be an impact player in my eyes. Learn from Hedman/Stralman etc

What is a "protect spot"? Never heard that before.

Referring to the expansion draft, methinks. TB didn't have to protect Sergachev from being drafted by VGK because first and second year players were exempt.
