I have a draft pick proposal here. But i'm eligible to possible get Devon
Dubnyk as my keeper player, but i would have to give away picks.

    Picks are:

    MY: 4th round- 5th pick and 6th round - 5th pick

    for
HER: Dubnyk and her 6th round- 8th pick
Need to know way more about your league to give an accurate answer.
Specifically, number of teams and number of keepers, and your current keepers.

I see Dubnyk as a #3-7 fantasy goalie. Price and Holtby at the top and then Dubnyk, Bobrovsky, Lundqvist, Murray, maybe Crawford, Talbot.

Basically looks like paying a 4th round pick for Dubnyk which is probably a really good deal but without knowing the league can't say 100% to do it.

There is 10 teams and we are aloud to keep 5 keeper players.

    OK now we're getting somewhere. 10 teams x 5 keepers = 50 kept.
So a 4th round pick is between 81-90th best player in the league. Dubnyk is likely better than the 81st best fantasy player

Who are your current 5 keepers? Also, what's the scoring situation.

I'm keeping Carter, Kesler, Doughty, and Josi. No goalies.

Only thing is if I pick up Dubnyk, I won't have a draft pick until the 8th round. Because I gave up my 7th round pick for Josi

Are a lot of goalies kept in your league?

Or is it just Price/Murray/Holtby, and nobody else?

Number of goalies available in the the draft makes a big difference.

But who is your 5th keeper if you don't make the trade? That's the key detail either you keep player x or you keep Dubnyk

Also are those 4 players your best 4 options to keep? If so you might want to invest in a full fledged rebuild, with Carter as your best forward its going to be tough to compete this year.

The goalies that are spoken for Jones Rask Crawford Price Quick Holtby Talbot Murray the rest are available.
One goalie I was thinking about grabbing, but I'm not sure would be too early, is Andrei Vasilevskiy.

If I don't pick do Dubnyk I'll use my 5th pick as a pick in my up-and-coming draft and pick a goalie that is available in the draft.

HER: Dubnyk and her 6th round- 8th pick
In my pool, Dubnyk would be gone in round 1, maybe round 2. There is an early run on 1a goalies due to positional sparsity. Thus, worst case scenario, if this were my pool the math would be my 4th round and 6th round for her 2nd round and 6th round. This would be a no-brainer for me.

If 1a goalies get scooped early in your pool, as they do in mine, then it would be an easy accept.
