This season - Mason
For the future - Mrazek. I still think he has the skillset to turn it around but I am not buying him until he does it.
Who's the better own for this season and into the future?
Pretty standard categories (W, GAA, SV%, SVS, SO) and it's a dynasty league. It's also a 14 team league with very deep benches.
I own Mrazek with Helly and Comrie on my farm. My other starting goalies are Elliott and Neuvy. I've finished 1st or 2nd the last two years and should be a favorite again.
I've got a ton of cheap/mediocre goalie options for streaming such as Miller, Pavs, Budaj, Ward. I also own Varly but he'll likely be buried on my farm.
Is it worth flipping my Mrazek for Mason to lock up the Jets goalies? I still feel like Mrazek has an incredibly high ceiling but I think I might be in the minority there?
Thanks!

Mason for me. And its not a biased opinion anymore because he is not a Flyer anymore.
Since you are in contention, I'd take Mason and the WPG handcuff for the next two years. If Mrazek is better in 3 years, well...who really cares?
Mason. I think he's going to do well in Winnipeg. A lot of troubling signs about Mrazek in Detroit.

I don't particularly like either, but Mason would be my pick here.
I like Mason as well.
Owning Hellebuyck last year, it became pretty clear a lot of his poor stat production was from 3rd period breakdowns either by him or by the team. Mason could be in for the same if the D doesn't play better in front of him this year. Mrazek is tough to predict but, injuries aside, Mason might get more starts.
Mason for this year, and into the future so long as Detroit favours Howard.
