    Default New Jersey vs Philadelphia goalies

    Who would you rather have for wins?
    Cory Schnieder who seems to have played his worst season in 2016/2017 (Kinkaid seemed to play better) or
    Brian Elliot who is new in Philly but in a tandem with Neuvy.

    Schneider all day long. He's an elite goalie on a bad team. But that bad team is improving IMO.

    Elliott will play 45 games and win 25 of them. I expect Schneider to play 65+ games and win 30-35 of them.

    Devils for sure. Defense isn't all that great still but the offense will for sure improve over last year.

    still go with schneider. had an off year, should rebound a bit, might not be a top 5 goalie in the league but do expect better numbers all around.

    I don't know...thinking Elliot still...Schnieder hasn't won't more than 27 games in a season for the Devils.
    Schneider
    ======
    60 gp and 20 wins with .908

    Elliot who had a bad year won
    ===================
    49 gp and 26 wins with .910

    I think if Kovalchuk signs and stays in NJ I would stay with Schneider.

    I am somewhat 60 - 40 with Elliot. Still got a couple of months for keeper submission.

    Is this a keeper?

    Elliott has never had a 30 win season either and his last three seasons of 25ish wins was behind a really good Blues team and a Flames team that went nutty for 20 games. Schneider is steady.

    If this is a keeper, I'd say Schneider averages 32 wins over the next 3 years to Elliott's 25. If this is a one-year, then the stakes are much lower and betting on Elliott has a lower downside.

    New Jersey should be a touch better and Schneider is going to get massive starts. Definitely Schneider. I don't trust Elliott.

    Schneider for me as well. Always go with the starter over the tandem when possible.

    I agree with the majority that Schneider is the better option. I think NJ still has another deal or two up their sleeves to try and improve their backend. Their forward corps are already improved over last year.
