Unfortunately it's too early to assess. I can pump his tires all day but it's still possible he ends up with zero opportunity.
Hey guys, what do you think he can do in MTL this year? They still haven't sign Markov yet and his outlook would change drastically if they do. But if Markov is gone (Beaulieu gone too) , there's no offensive LD except for Jerabek. Other lefty are Schlemko and Alzner who are not known for their offensive prowess at all. So does he get a chance to play left side with Weber on the 1st PP? Or maybe the Habs will play 4F 1D PP (Drouin at the point). If so, he maybe has a chance on the 2nd PP with Petry.
Anyways, he had quite good stats in the KHL (was top 5 D-men in points) and that got me curious about his potential in MTL.
What do you guys think?
Thanks
J.

While he's been pretty consistent with his offense in the KHL, I'm not sure we have a lot of examples of blue liners making that jump and excelling. You could have Anton Belov instead. Depending on opportunity, like you mentioned, he could get a few points, but I wouldn't invest much in acquiring him.
I saw that today on Twitter and it reignited my interest in him a bit. Other opinions on him?

Told by a great source that Jerabek similar to Zaitsev ...a lit bit more "O" in Jerabek's game. Interesting. Will have learning curve though

I like his play; I'm just not sure he can do the same things as easily in the NHL. If Radulov can be used as a recent example, his play transitioned well but his output was not as high as it was in the K.
Here's a little snippet of his play (nbr. 7):
Keeper league 14 teams (H2H, 20 active players keep 16 NHLers, 16 minors)
Scoring Cats: G-A-PTS-PPG-PPA-(+/-)-HITS-BLK-SHP-SOG-FOW-GWG / W-L-SVS-SV%-GAA-SO

D- Carlson, Rielly, Klingberg
G- Hellebuyck, Demko, Merzlikins, Vejmelka

D: Simashev, Willander, Lambos
G: Schmidt, Rodrigue, DiPietro, Gaudreau, McKay
Bumping this.
Now that Montreal has shuffled their blue line further, what can we expect from this guy?
Could be their most offensively talented LD, right?

I think as long as we don't know if Markov is coming back, nothing is sure. He signed a two way contract so could be an AHLer next year. The only leftys who are sure to play are Alzner and Schlemko. After that I think it's going to be a battle for the last spot between Jerabek and Davidson. If he makes the team I think he has the potential to play last pairing and maybe take the left spot on the 1st PP, that if they don't go with a 4 FWd 1 D PP with Drouin at the point (very plausible) then he maybe get a shot with Petry on PP2. That's my take right now, but I'm following him closely because he's FA in my league and might be a surprising pick up sooner than later.
