Darling. He has the contract and the better team in front of him.
Which of these two former Chicago goalies is going to be the best bet in their new starting role for the next few years?
Darling. He has the contract and the better team in front of him.
Oooof. Tough one.
This is a coin flip, IMO.
I'll go with Raanta - mostly because I like Arizona's D and I feel there's no pressure for him there.
Raanta - he's looked more like the real deal plus has a larger sample size to draw from.

Darling- he's more talented and has a better team in front of him.
He has been the answer to this questions ever since Darling was called up and there was a goalie controversy in Chicago 2 seasons ago.

Carolina just hired Mike Bales too right?
I think the biggest problem in the Carolina crease over the last 10 years has been that their goaltending coach has been atrocious. Players go there and get much worse. That is my biggest hesitation with Darling, but I just remembered they hired Bales.
I would go with Darling here, as well.
Flip a coin. I have them equal.
Another coin flip but pushed I'd go Darling based purely on analytics and what the Canes defence did last season
Experience is the teacher of all things.
I'll go with Raanta just because he looked like a bonafide #1 at times during the season.
Darling for me.
GET WELL SOON, DOBBER.
don't touch the dumpster fire that is Arizona right now they still need a year or two to put it all together.

I prefer Darling but I think both will be a better fantasy asset to own in the coming years.

Darling is really a quality goaltender and should be given a lot of starts. Really like him here.
