Smith/Darling
opinions on Mike Smith and Scott Darling next season, is this a duo who I can be confident in considering it's a 16 team league?, I could also trade for Gibson but doing so would see me lose Josi or Gostisbehere/Keller, and I'd really like to keep Josi/Keller for the long haul, league stats & team in SIG (1st team)

I think you can tread water with that in a 16 teamer but I would try to upgrade if things aren't going well in the fall or if an opportunity presents itself this offseason. If you can get Gibson I would look into that. I think Gostisbehere would be ok to lose to get Gibson, would be rough to lose Josi or Keller though.

In a 16 team league, those two are a bit dicey IMO - Darling is a decent #2 (albeit unproven) and Smith is a borderline #2/3. I would either get Smith's backup or a 30 game backup as insurance.
Ultimately, you have a lot of goalie stats and I'd probably make the investment into a Tier 1 goalie - like Gibson. You won't regret it.

Two for sure starters in a 16 teamer is a good place to start. I really like Darling, but the duo is a dice roll.

It could go any which direction with these guys. Calgary could be more consistent this season, but that could be Lack taking those starts. Smith scares me personally.
I really like Darling and think he has a nice future ahead of him, but who knows how that team actually does this season as well.
I'd be tempted to move someone to get Gibson personally.

I'd go with Smith here. Still think Smith can have a great year and Calgary is set for another playoff push.

People certainly don't seem as concerned about Smith in Calgary as I am. I might have to re-look at him.
