Over the last two NHL seasons James Reimer has the 2nd highest even strength save percentage among all goalies with 30 or more games played. Lehner and Darling are 21 and 23. This stat tends to be a better indicator of ability.

Go with Reimer and enjoy watching Luongo sail off into the sunset.

Robin Lehner absolutely, his lack of wins mask his solid contributions.

if you trade Talbot for Lehner + stud F.. you've still f---d your goaltending. That forward doesn't provide G stats

Keep the stud G and give him (Talbot) a solid complimentary piece behind him. Darling I see getting more starts than Reimer next year, Luongo is still there... will be forever.

I agree with everyone. Do not trade Talbot and expect Lehner to be your guy going forward.

I also prefer Darling from those three. Carolina is building some sweet there. They have a ton of good young Dmen finding there way and Ronnie Francis is adding solid pieces every year. Carolina is going to surprise a few people in the coming years once those kids develop. They weren't that far off last year and had some good stretches.

Thanks everyone - appreciate all the feedback!!

I've sent a counter offer to acquire Darling instead of Reimer (I agree that Darling is in a clearer situation with upside). With that said, if I can't get Darling, I think Reimer is still worth the asking price and better than my current alternatives (Mason, Varlamov, Pickard).

Haha. I expect big signings this weekend from all three teams.

    Mostly just Dallas actually.

Curious your thoughts on the performance of Lehner, Darling, and Reimer for the next few seasons. ALso, if you want to take a crack at what amount you think Lehner's will sign for.

    Thanks!
I think all 3 have similar potential going forward. I would not trade Talbot at all. Lehner put up good numbers on a bad team and the team around him should improve and will help improve his stats even more. Darling is a question mark in Carolina. I would leave him alone until we see what he can do as a starter but with that young defensive in Carolina, he has a chance to be the next Talbot. Reimer should see more starts this year and become the starter by next season if not this year. For me if trying to acquire one of these guys I would go Lehner, Darling and Reimer in that order. Good luck!
