How many starts do you think my goalies get this year. I am weak at starting goalie. Debating whether I need to make a trade or wait it out the next few years and rely on "backup volume" at the moment? League in signature. One goalie start per day/unlimited starts per week. My estimates in parentheses.

Interesting. I was close on all but Mrazek and Jarry. You are even lower on him than me. I only said 30 because of Howard's injury history. I was lower on Korpisalo because Bob was actually healthier last year and had a different off-season program and lost some weight I think.

If Mrazek stays in Detroit I think I was actually being generous. Coreau is going to get a long look too. Howard or not. If Mrazek moves on then depending on where he ends up (NYR?) then he could be in line for 15-20, or if it's Philly, he may get as high as 55.

I just like Korpi for one. Bob is too inconsistent for me to have him in a top tier, new regimen or not.

Eskimo, do you think Domingue gets 30 starts because Raanta will falter? Coaches will balance Raanta's workload? Domingue is awesome? Just curious - I would have put him in the 20 game category.

Raanta has never been a #1 starter before. Talbot had an adjustment season too, so I think we see at most 50 starts from Raanta next season.

Also none of this from me is gospel. Goalies are tough to predict at the best of times, and predicting a # of games started before July is a shot in the dark at best. Just my thoughts if I have to put a number to it now.

I was just wondering/thinking if Philly makes a trade for Mrazek. Makes sense. He is young. Decent salary for talent level. One year left on contract, so motivated to perform. Don't know Philly salary cap though.

Also, do I need to make a move in my league for a goalie? They are very valued commodities. Or just wait it out and hope for the best?

Yeah I think trying for a tier two starter would do you well. Darling would be a great target if you could pull it off.

Nope! My league is the same. I have 3 starters and would need a great return to let go of 1 of them. We start 2 a week but if there's an injury youre in tough with only 2 starters. Owning backup goalies proves to be a smart idea

It was more of a rhetorical question trying to mean that they're not overvalued because their value is actually that high. So I agree with you

Haha. That's why I refuse to trade Saros and Husso. My theory is that in a few years I will be alright. Hopefully. I will probably have to go with what I have and hope for the best. Unfortunately when I took the team over last year it was 20m over the cap, and Howard was one of the casualties. I guess I made the wrong choice choosing Mrazek over Howard. I did get Domingue off waivers.

It happens to the best of us. Do you now have the cap space to take on a more pricy guy in the interim like Fleury, Rinne or Smith?
