Datsyuk is the only one from that list who wasn't over point-per-game. And their top D-men were Slava Voynov, Anton Belov, Maxim Chudinov and Patrik Hersley. Those are all star D-men in the KHL.

CSKA (Sorokin's team) is a good team but not nearly as good as SKA is. Their top point producer last year was Kirill Petrov... with 37 points in 53 games. How exactly is that team stacked?
I am wondering if he got the teams mixed up.

stacked or not Igor has competed at every level so far and while the stacked team played it's part the likes of Kovalchuk aren't the ones stopping the rubber and to have a 1.64 GAA in 39 games played is absurd.

Sorokin had 1.61 GAA this year (in 39 games) and 1.06 a year ago when he won the KHL Best Goaltender award. His playoff performance a year ago was also amazing: 20 GP, 1.32 GAA, .945 SV%

I'm not saying Shestyorkin isn't good, just that Sorokin has been even better. This was Shestyorkin's first full season at the KHL level while it was Sorokin's 4th year when he's played 27+ games at the KHL level, so his track record is much longer. Shestyorkin also lost the starting job in the playoffs although that was mostly because they just trusted the more proven Koskinen more.
