Yeah, buyout may be in the offing. Though PHX is an interesting possibility. Looks like maybe they're finally willing to spend a bit to make a push for the postseason?

Nobody is taking either Kari or Niemi on... and DAL shouldn't sacrifice any youth just to save a few million.
I think the statement is simply that "prepping feeling" to lower the shock value to fans (of something the rest of us knew was eventually going to happen).

Clearly buyout makes the most sense. Gotta think Nills already made his best offers to teams that could absorb the cap hit and hasn't found a taker. Just no confidence left in either of those guys, especially at the cap hits.
