I like it for Philly. Helps clear some room for Patrick (think Lehtera slots in nicely), save some cap space and add another 2 future assets.

Weal was pretty much up there already. Konecny will definitely get more icetime moving forward.

With Giroux, Filppula and now Lehtera down the middle, one has to think that Nolan Patrick will start his NHL career on the wing. Not a bad thing to adjust to the speed but he won't get much time down the middle for at least one season while Filppula is still under contract. Who knows after that.

I suppose from the perspective of getting the youngsters more playing time it makes sense - but they didn't need to shed cap for Patrick and Schenn can slide to the wing pretty easily.

Also, the return is suspect - this is a 25+ goal scorer and young on a decent contract. Again, I don't necessarily mind moving on but it seems like weak asset management.
