Trade Help!

So after the recent news that Panarin is going to CBJ, a GM in my league decided to send out a bunch of trades out and seems to think Panarin is going to go way down hill. Would you guys do this?

I receive: Matthews, Panarin

I give away: Benn, Kuznetsov

I'm thinking of doing it just because Matthews is just going to get better and Benn has (IMO) plateaued. Only reason I'm hesitant is Benn is decent in a hits/pim league comparably to the others. I'm also not that high on Kuznetsov and I think Panarin will still be good for 70 pts in CBJ.

Any advice would be appreciated!

I prefer Benn + Kuzy

Benn might have plateaued but his plateau is 75 points with monster peripherals. Matthews and Panarin can't touch that.

Assuming Benn (75 points) + Kuzy (60+) = 135
Matthews (75) + Panarin (70) = 145

I prefer to lose 10 points but gain Benn's hits, blocks, and PIM's.

I think you need to call Kuznetzov and Panarin a wash and focus on Benn and Matthews.

Do you want Benn or Matthews?

It first glance I am not sure which guy I like more. Pros and cons to each.

I'm curious to hear what others say.

Somehow do the deal without Benn. Something tells me Panarin's point total will dip slightly with CBJ, but he can still be surrounded with a variety of strong scorers. But on the same token, Benn might be the price you have to pay if you want to land Auston Matthews.

If you play in a deep league, you can probably make up the hits and blocked shots with other players who primarily contribute in those categories. So I'd be more likely to make the deal if you are in a deep league.

Short term Benn side 1-2 yrs not by much , Long term Matthews. I would do if you want Matthews.
