Four guys who were projected to 1st round didn't go there. The guys who went there instead: Chytil, Frost, Bowers and Jokiharju. But they were all ranked in the top-38, so no huge reaches there.

I would guess that Colorado takes a D-man with the 1st pick in the 2nd round but not sure if it will be Hague or Timmins. Probably Hague. Could Vancouver take a D-man as well with the 2nd pick? Anyways, some really solid players still left.

Vegas has another 3 picks in the 2nd round as well, just like they did in the 1st round.

I wonder if the trades weren't there because teams valued the players so much they didn't want to move the picks, or if GMs out there simply didn't like the players in this years draft and weren't willing to move key players for the picks this year.

Sad thing is that I would probably do that deal if I was snow(not barzal) or I'd add barzal if they would add Barrie. I think the isles need to do everything possible to make JT happy

If Colorado turned that down, they're crazy and definitely not going to trade Duchene because they're asking way too much. Hamonic for Duchene straight-up isn't all that far in value, a 1st and a prospect is a great sweetener.
